Following the announcement made in January that West Didsbury & Chorlton would be fielding a development squad in the 2018/19 season, the management team are delighted to confirm that they will be accepting applications into the development playing squad.

In its first season West enjoyed terrific initial success in the SSE Women’s FA Cup reaching the first round proper before finishing runners-up in the NWWRFL Division One South in their inaugural season.
Chairman Glyn Meacher spoke of the announcement; “The women’s team have been a terrific addition to the club this season following a great amount of work from Manager Paul Caddick and Rob McKay. In their first season they’ve been a terrific representative of the club both in women’s football and the local community. Their players achievements on the field in the latest success for our club.”
“As well as creating a team from scratch, they’ve worked on the second phase of the club vision that will see the club create a pathway for local players from junior to adult football. With this step we hope to be able to offer junior players making their first steps in adult football for many years to come and become the stand out club for women’s football in South Manchester.”
