The Step Places Stadium is a community facility open and available to everyone in the Chorlton and wider South Manchester area. Whether you’re celebrating a special birthday, running a meeting or simply need a space to yourself, we’d be happy to rent out our clubhouse on a non-matchday.

The clubhouse is available to hire for birthdays, christenings, football matches and many other events at an affordable price. Our clubhouse is a perfect function room for anyone looking for interesting venues to hire in Chorlton and the wider South Manchester area – our multi-purpose space is fit for many different occasions. In the past, we’ve had under 10s birthday parties, people celebrating their 18th, and every other major celebration imaginable. Our bar prices (starting at £3 per drink) and the ability to decorate the room to your own specifications mean it is always popular with those who have rented it.

At West Didbsury & Chorlton AFC, we are able to provide for all our events:

Function room, able to fit up to 100 people (with further room outside)
Includes seating, that can also be removed if required to create a dancefloor
Full stocked bar, serving lager, craft beer, ciders, and spirits – all reasonably priced
Male, female, and disabled toilets
Sound system and television
Disabled access to the clubhouse

Upon request, we are also able to provide decorations, foods, and many other requests – please let us know of your requirements.

We recently had my girlfriend’s 30th birthday party in the clubhouse, and we couldn’t have hoped for a better experience. Having looked around Chorlton for a venue to hire, we were unable to find anything to fit our specifications until we found the Recreation Ground. Very affordable, and highly recommended for whatever event you’re looking to hire it for.
