West's 147-day wait for a Saturday home fixture comes to an end with a promotion tussle with Stone Old Alleynians.
The machinations of the NWCFL fixture list have resulted in seven weeks passing since the start of the season before Brad Cooke's side could make their weekend Brookburn Road bow. And there could barely be a bigger match to mark the occasion as two of the First Division South's top four go head-to-head.
Progress in the league has been interrupted by a series of cup matches but following last weekend's excellent FA Vase win at Runcorn Town, this will be the first of three consecutive league games for West as focus is realigned on promotion.
Stone arrive in M21 on the back of an excellent midweek win at Wythenshawe Amateurs, a victory that came at the perfect time after a run of three games without success. Former Hanley Town man Jordan Erdmann is likely to be the player to watch - the striker has three goals in as many games and claimed a brace, along with player of the match honours, at Hollyhedge Park.
West could reach the summit with victory, depending on results at Vauxhall Motors (v Cheadle Town) and Oswestry Town (v Wythenshawe Town).
