West Didsbury & Chorlton Women capped off their season with their first ever awards night down at Brookburn Road on Sunday evening.
Having completed their second season, West saw both their first team and development squad win their respective divisions as they were crowned NWWRFL Division One South and GMWFL Division Two Champions respectively.
Under the guidance of Manager Paul Caddick the first team went one better on their runners-up finish in 2018 by collecting 52 points from 54 available on their way to the title. They also excelled in the cup competitions reaching the third qualifying round of the FA Cup and both the semi-finals of the Manchester Women’s Challenge Cup and Arygle Sports Cup.
In their first season the Development Squad, under the stewardship of Nathan Soulby, the Development Squad reached the semi-finals of the Division Two Cup before winning their last seven games in a row to clinch the GMWFL Division Two title on the final day of the season.
A huge thanks to Mike Curry and Alex Maclean for putting on such a superb evening.
