RECREATION GROUND | BROOKBURN ROAD | CHORLTON | M21 8FE
by Rob McKay · 02/11/2017
After a weekend off West’s First and Reserve teams are back in action on Saturday whilst West Women play a rare league game on the Sunday.
West make the trip to Cheshire when they take on a Runcorn Linnets side unbeaten at home in the league this season. West and Linnets already met on August bank holiday Monday when West ran out 4-0 winners thanks to a Saul Henderson hat-trick.
Meanwhile, at Brookburn Road the Reserves return to action following a two week break when they take on league leaders Egerton, 2pm KO.
Egerton have flown out of the blocks in Cheshire League One winning seven of nine games and amassing an impressive 22 points from a possible 27.
Kick off is 2pm, admission is FREE and the bar is open.
On Sunday, West Women look to bounce back from their first ever defeat away to FC United last weekend when they head to NWWRFL Division One South newcomers Crewe Alexandra Development.
Crewe have enjoyed life in the leagues since their promotion having collected seven points from their first seven games to lift them to fourth with wins over City of Liverpool and Altrincham to date.
West saw a run of seven straight wins come to an end but one week removed from their historic first round FA Cup tie there will be no shortage of motivation to bounce back with three points.
Kick off is 2pm and admission is FREE.
