West to welcome back fans for 1874 Northwich fixture – POSTPONED

With regret, tonight’s pitch is now postponed. The pitch is waterlogged, with high winds and heavy rain now and forecasted tonight causing risks to players and fans along with social distancing measures.
Sorry for the bad news, we were really looking forward to seeing you all!

We are pleased to be able to welcome a limited number of fans to The Step Places Stadium for the men’s First Team’s next pre-season fixture on Tuesday 25th August against 1874 Northwich. Kick-off is at 7pm.

Following recently published FA guidelines, the ground will be open to a maximum of 150 spectators only. Social distancing measures will be in place around the pitch and inside the clubhouse; please take note of the following measures if you plan on attending the fixture:

  • Gates will open to spectators at 6.15pm
  • Entry is £5; £3 for concessions and free to under 12s accompanied by an adult.
  • Spectators are asked to bring a pre-prepared slip of paper with their name and contact details on for track and trace purposes.
  • The clubhouse will be operating a one-way system
  • Face coverings must be worn inside the clubhouse; the bar will be open for food and refreshments

The club is also on the lookout for volunteers to act as stewards on the night to aid in our COVID-19 compliance arrangements. Those who are able to help can contact Glyn at

We look forward to welcoming you back to The Step Places Stadium on Tuesday, and kindly ask that you follow the guidelines in place to ensure an enjoyable and safe evening for all.
