The FA have published the draws for the early rounds of the FA Cup, FA Vase and FA Youth Cup.
In the FA Cup, we will travel to Longridge Town in the Extra Preliminary Round (Saturday 6th August, 3pm kick-off). This will be our maiden meeting with the Ribble Valley side, though it will be the first of at least three this season as we will also face off in the NWCFL Premier Division.
The winners of that tie will travel to either Squires Gate or Northwich Victoria in the Preliminary Round on Saturday 20th August.
We have been handed a home tie in the FA Vase First Qualifying Round, as we welcome Ashton Town on Saturday 27th August (3pm kick-off). The Wigan outfit will play in the NWCFL First Division North this season, and our game will be our first competitive meeting since we triumphed in a October 2014 NWCFL Challenge Cup tie.
Victory would set up a Second Qualifying Round home tie, and we would either welcome Nostell Miners Welfare – who we beat in the First Qualifying Round last season – or Dronfield Town, both of whom play in the Northern Counties East League Division One.
Finally, our Youth team will travel to Nantwich Town in the Preliminary Round of the FA Youth Cup, with the tie scheduled to take place in the week of Monday 29th August.
More information on each of these games will follow in the near future.
