West Didsbury & Chorlton will kick start the 2017/18 season by welcoming NWCFL First Division Champions Widnes FC to Brookburn Road on Saturday 12^th August, 3pm KO.

It will be the first ever meeting between West and the Cheshire side who joined the NWCFL in 2014 and play their home games at the 14,000 capacity Select Securities Stadium; home of Widnes Vikings.

The NWCFL fixture secretary has also confirmed West’s August calendar which will see them travel to Bootle on Tuesday 15^th August, 7:45pm KO. West last visited the Delta Taxis Stadium on the final day of last season where they won a thrilling tie 5-3 and have won on their last two visits.

August is rounded off in style as the bank holiday weekend brings two games with a trip to Congleton Town’s Richborough Estates Stadium. The bears are one of the divisions title favourites following the appointment of well-travelled Manager Ian Street.

The month ends with a huge bank holiday fixture at home to Runcorn Linnets on Monday 28^th August, 3pm KO. West Club Secretary Rob McKay had requested a Bank Holiday Monday fixture had Steve Settle’s side been scheduled to play at home.

The announcement follows the news on Friday that West will travel to Athersley Recreation in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Qualifying Round on Saturday 5^th August, 3pm KO.  The winners will then travel to the winners of Northwich Victoria or 1874 Northwich in the Preliminary Qualifying Round on Saturday 19^th August, 3pm KO.
