West 1-1 Squires Gate – West Didsbury & Chorlton AFC

West 1-1 Squires Gate

Saturday 26th November 2022, NWCFL Premier Division

West 1 (Miller 47)
Squires Gate 1 (Riley 64)
Att: 681

West shared the points with Squires Gate after two goals in the space of 17 second-half minutes.

A drab game sprung to life moments after the interval, when Curtis Miller’s drive from the edge of the box took a deflection that wrong-footed Gate keeper Nathan Pennington.

Ryan Riley hauled the visitors level just after the hour mark, as his low free kick beat the West wall and nestled in the corner of Andrew Jones’ net.

West: A. Jones, Cook, Hancock (Graham 74), Delaney (C. Jones 83), Hampson, Foulds, Miller (Dickinson 72), McKnight (Swift 86), Elliott, Davis, Eme (Matthews 70).

The point, plus results elsewhere, means we move up into 7th in the NWCFL Premier Division.
