In what was a troubling month overall for the men’s side results wise, there were some good individual and team performances throughout to offer hope heading into October. Here, we have four names that have battled throughout, and who were crucial in ending September with a vital three points away at Squires Gate.

Saul Brew-Butler has played almost every position in our back-line, and was Player of the Match as he was able to make things click alongside Ryan Eiselt on Saturday – a partnership that saw the team earn their first clean sheet in over a year. Marcus Burgess made a number of saves to stop the opposition netting, and has put in several strong performances since joining over the summer: his nomination is richly deserved. Merizel Dos Santos, often known as Junior, has offered an electric option on either flank, and capped off a great individual month for himself with a 20 yard goal against 1874 Northwich. Saul Henderson – or, as he is known to most fans, ‘Beef’ – came second in this poll last month, and has added three goals to his total since then, including Saturday’s winner.
