West Didsbury & Chorlton return home for the first time in 46 days this Saturday when they welcome Winsford United to Brookburn Road.

The absence from home fixtures has seen West play 6 consecutive away matches with only a stress inducing 5-4 victory at Burscough to show for their efforts.

Despite the mileage racked up the supporters have stuck with the team on their travels and the players wish to repay their loyalty following Saturday’s fixture.

As a thank you the players and management team will be putting a week’s travel expenses behind the bar for supporters to enjoy a chat and a drink following the final whistle after Saturday’s game.

Manager Steve Settle said: “The supporters have been incredible this season and have got behind us wherever we’ve been. We’ve taken strong numbers across the north-west and we’re gutted they’ve not had more to show for their passion. The players and the management team want to offer this gesture as a token of our gratitude for that support.”

West host Winsford United this Saturday at Brookburn Road, 3pm KO. Admission for the game is £5 for adults, £3 concessions and FREE for under-12s.

The two teams have met twice already this season, both at the Barton Stadium, where West ran out 3-1 winners in the league with Winsford extracting their revenge in a 5-1 win in the Macron Cup.
