by Andrew Hartley · 25/11/2022
West play their third home league match in a row on Saturday, as we look to ride the wave of a good run of form, which has seen Chris Rowley’s side maintain their position in the top half of the league table.

To help everyone make it into the ground before kick off, we advise to arrive at least 15 minutes early and to bring correct change.
Following on from Tuesday’s impressive victory in the Brookburn Road fog, West are looking to achieve a third win in as many games. The whole team played fantastically in midweek against Litherland and the scoreline could have been much greater on any other night. Our recent pick up in form sees West sit in 8th place and we are starting to look at home in the upper echelons of the NWCFL Premier Division.
In regard to this weekend’s team news, Rhain Davis will hopefully be back in the squad if he recovers from the illness that kept him out of Tuesday’s match and Billy Matthews made his return to action in midweek too so he may make an appearance on Saturday.
Our visitors Squires Gate are coming into this one off the back of three cup games, but their recent league form has been positive, as they have won four of their last five league matches. They currently sit in 16th place in the league and they will be more than up for this game, as much like West, they will be seeking to ride the momentum of positive form.
The last time these two sides met was in the FA Cup in 2019 as West ran out as 2-1 victors. Chris Rowley and his side will no doubt be hoping for a similar result this weekend!
We hope to see as many of you as possible on Saturday getting behind the team and helping them to victory as so many of you already do. Come on West!!
