After two cup exits in short succession, Chris Rowley’s side are looking to put things right in the FA Vase, as they play in front of the West faithful this weekend. Both away matches have been tough, but they will make this West side all the more determined to get the ball rolling again and secure some momentum before heading back into league action on Tuesday evening, in a big match versus Bury AFC.
In regard to team news, Curtis Miller made a return in Tuesday’s loss at Glossop, so he will be looking to continue his recovery, and Ben Elliott is looking to make a return to the starting line up after picking up a knock last Saturday.
The visitors come into this one off the back of two victories in their last five matches and they sit in 16th place in the NCEL Premier Division. With their start to the season in mind, they will be looking to kick on from here, and this match presents the perfect opportunity for them to do just that.
Both teams are going into this match with much determination to put their previous defeats behind them, so expect a hard fought 90 minutes.
As always, we look forward to seeing you and hearing you all in full force on Saturday, cheering the mighty West on! Come on West!
