West come into this fixture with momentum back on their side as the lads secured a hard fought 2-1 victory on Saturday, reaching the FA Vase Second Round Proper for the first time in the club’s history. Chris Rowley’s side have actually won four of their last five league matches and they will be hoping to continue their rise up the league table with a victory against tough opposition. A strong start has seen West reach a respectable 7th place in the league and they only have ambitions to build on this.
No fresh team news has been reported and it is hoped that a full strength West squad will be in attendance for this game.
The visitors Bury AFC also tasted victory in the FA Vase over the weekend, as well as picking up a win in the Macron Cup last Tuesday too, so they are also looking to keep their impressive form going. The Shakers currently occupy 12th place in the league table but they have a fair few games in hand as they also have ambitions to climb up and improve their position as the season continues.
With both team’s riding the wave of positive league form, your support is more important than ever to get us over the line in this match.
We look forward to seeing you all at the Step Places Stadium and as Chris Rowley mentioned on Saturday, we look forward to hearing the noise from you all. Come on West!
