by Andrew Hartley · 16/09/2022
In another league repeat of an FA Cup fixture from earlier in the season, West travel to Longridge Town this weekend as they aim to get back to winning ways after two tough matches against stern opponents.
 Saturday 17th September 2022, 3.00pm
 NWCFL Premier Division
The Recycling Lives Ground, Inglewhite Rd, Longridge, Preston, PR3 2NA
 £6 / £4 / 12-18 y/o £1 / U12s free
 Preston (9 miles)
The last fixture between these two sides was to secure a place in the FA Cup Preliminary Round which ended up being against Northwich Victoria. West ran out as 0-1 winners on that occasion and then went on to also win the resulting match against Northwich in dramatic fashion.
Since the last meeting between these two sides, West have managed to maintain a fairly strong start to the season which has seen them play 8 games with 3 victories, 3 draws and 2 losses. Chris Rowley’s side now sit in a respectable 11th place as they now look to get back to winning ways after two very frustrating games that could have seen them run out victorious on any other day.
The home side Longridge Town have endured a tough start to the season which has resulted in them sitting just above the relegation zone having played 10 matches so far. Town will be desperate to put that start right and they will be all the more determined to get a positive result after a fairly long run of matches without a win.
With both sides desperate to snatch a win and improve their recent fortunes, this has all the makings of a great match.
We can’t wait to see the lads back in action and we hope to see you all there in loud voice, come on West!
