West exited the Macron Cup at the first hurdle on Saturday, so Chris Rowley will be looking for a response in a competition close to the hearts of West supporters.

Glossop North End play one tier above West, in the Northern Premier League Division One West, and have made a solid start to the season. They come into this game on the back of two league defeats, though the most recent of those was a close 2-1 reverse to leaders Macclesfield.

This will be the first meeting between West and Glossop since April 2017, when West triumphed in a Surrey Street quarter-final of this competition – Joe Shaw, Johnny Poizer and a Nic Evangelinos brace doing the damage in a 4-2 win.
