RECREATION GROUND | BROOKBURN ROAD | CHORLTON | M21 8FE
by Andrew Hartley · 26/09/2022
West travel to Burscough’s Community Ground this Tuesday as they aim to continue their more recent good form with a second consecutive away league win.
 Tuesday 27th September 2022, 7.45pm
 NWCFL Premier Division
The Community Ground, Bobby Langton Way, Burscough, Ormskirk L40 0SD
 £6 / £4 / U16s £1 / U11s free
Burscough Junction (13 minutes walk, 0.6 miles)
The last meeting between these two sides came back in 2019, with Burscough being at home back then too, the match ended 3-0 to the home side. Chris Rowley’s side will of course be targeting a much better result this time round.
In recent weeks, West have managed to get back to winning ways in league and cup competitions, as they have seen three victories in their last three games, whilst they also sit at a respectable 9th place in the league table. Coming fresh off the back of their solid display against Nostell Welfare Miners in the FA Vase, Chris Rowley will be hoping his side can keep their clinical goal scoring form up and make it four victories from their last four.
The home side Burscough FC have seen a different spell of recent form when compared to West as they have secured just one victory in their last five matches and they sit just above the relegation zone in 20th. With this in mind, their players and coaching staff will be itching to put it right and secure all three points on home soil this week.
With revenge on the mind for West and a win desperately needed for Burscough, this match should be a great one!
We hope to see as many of you there as possible tomorrow. Enjoy the game and lets hope for another West win, come on West!
