MATCH REPORT | Vauxhall Motors 3-0 West

Tuesday 3rd December 2019, NWCFL First Division South

Vauxhall Motors 3 (Burkey 11, Noon 39, Brandon 65, Burkey sent off 72)
West 0

West’s first game since the departure of Brad Cooke proved to be a forgettable one as Vauxhall Motors eased to victory in Ellesmere Port.

The league leaders’ winning run, now stretching to 15 games, never looked like coming to an end as they took a two-goal lead into the interval thanks to Michael Burkey and Karl Noon.

The visitors failed to muster a shot on target until the 65th minute and Vauxhall sealed three more points with Joe Brandon’s finish.

Vauxhall finished the game with ten men after Burkey was dismissed for a challenge on Matt Cook, a flashpoint out of keeping with an otherwise tepid encounter.

West: A. Jones, Cook, Cooper, Middleton, Forbes, Eckersley, Tinker, Moloney, Cottee (Woods 80), Holt (Argent-Barnes 75), Grimshaw.
