? West v Runcorn Town
? Macron Cup third round

West and Runcorn Town face off in cup competition for the second time this season, with a Macron Cup quarter-final place on offer.
The home side will be hoping for a repeat of September’s FA Vase tie, when Kris Holt’s late winner was enough to secure progression on Weston Point.
Town can usually be found in the vicinity of the Premier Division promotion places, but they are currently languishing in 12th after a disappointing first half of the season. A three-game winning run was snuffed out last weekend as Irlam claimed a 2-1 away win.
Their indifferent form hasn’t had an impact on Craig Cairns’ goalscoring prowess, however, and the former City of Liverpool hitman has ten goals in his last nine appearances.
Saturday 14th September 2019, Runcorn Town 0-1 West: Kris Holt struck in the 81st minute to send West through to the FA Vase first round proper. Holt’s goal, careering in off a divot, was part of a miserable afternoon for Town keeper Adam Reid who was sent off in the dying moments for dissent.
The West team that day: A. Jones, Cook, Cooper, Tinker, Middleton (Eckersley 85), Horner, Grimshaw (B. Woods 90), Holt, Cottee, Moloney, Steer (C. Jones 61).
