Squires Gate v West
School Road, Blackpool, FY4 5DS
£6 adults / £3 concessions
West are back on the road this weekend as their quest for much-needed points takes them to the Fylde coast.
Last Tuesday’s visit to Ashton Athletic was postponed with West slipping to 18th due to midweek results elsewhere. Saturday’s meeting with Squires Gate represents an opportunity to inch away from the relegation zone as well as claim revenge for August’s FA Cup defeat, where Gate went 3-0 up before a West late rally fell agonisingly short.
Gate have faltered somewhat in recent weeks after an impressive start – since putting Droylsden out of the FA Cup after a replay, they have only won once in five games and exited the Lancashire Challenge Trophy at the hands of Padiham in midweek.
