West return to league action with a visit to table-topping Oswestry Town.

Four weeks have passed since West’s last First Division South fixture, the 2-1 win at Cammell Laird, with Brad Cooke’s side playing five cup games in the interim period. And there could barely be a more vital game to mark the return to league action as West face a team three places and four points above them in the table.

Oswestry’s position at the top of the table comes despite a relatively quiet October – they have played just twice this month, both in cups, though they also had a first attempt at a PlayerMatch.com tie at Garstang abandoned before winning the rearranged tie.

Chief dangerman for the home side will likely be forward Michael O’Reilly, who has ten goals so far this season. His former strike partner, David Howarth, plundered nine more before departing for Whitchurch Alport at the start of October.
