West head into an Easter double header against Litherland REMYCA (away) and Abbey Hey (home) with their hopes of Premier Division survival still alive.

West’s 3-2 win at Irlam two weeks ago breathed new life into their survival bid, but the 3-3 draw between Hanley Town and Winsford United seven days later means that West are four points adrift with three games remaining.
David Powell’s side travel to Litherland REMYCA on Saturday with the Merseyside outfit not quite assured of safety, but they will be confident of a second successive season in the Premier Division after promotion last term. It may come down to results elsewhere, though, as Remy are currently on an awful run of form – last weekend’s defeat at Runcorn Town was their seventh in succession.
West return to Brookburn Road on Easter Monday to face near-neighbours Abbey Hey, and for already-relegated Abbey an awful season is nearing its conclusion. Like Remy, they have lost each of their last seven games with Abbey’s latest reverse coming at home to Silsden last weekend.
West are unbeaten against their Easter opponents this season – the points were shared along with four goals when Litherland visited Brookburn Road in 2018, while West hammered Abbey Hey 6-0 in Gorton on Boxing Day.
