RECREATION GROUND | BROOKBURN ROAD | CHORLTON | M21 8FE
by Robert Lee · 27/03/2023
West are on their travels for the second time in four days, heading north to face league table neighbours Prestwich Heys.
 Tuesday 28th March, 7:45pm
 NWCFL Premier Division
Adie Moran Park, Whitefield, M45 6WG
Besses o’ th’ Barn Metrolink (0.8 miles)
 £7 / £4 / U16s free
Prior to West’s Saturday evening draw on the Isle of Man, Heys slumped to a 5-2 defeat at Squires Gate – meaning that the sides go into this clash adjacent in the league, with five points separating West in 9th from Heys in 8th – though West have three games in hand.
Prestwich are already guaranteed a club-record league finish, but the weekend defeat on the Fylde coast highlighted the inconsistency that has prevented them from making a promotion push – Heys have beaten Avro, Bury AFC and Vauxhall Motors this season, but many of their 14 defeats have come to teams in the lower reaches of the table.
Heys’ visit to M21 came in the first midweek of the season – Callum Nicholas put them ahead five minutes after half time, but Ben Elliott and Ezeikel Eme struck in the space of five minutes to secure West’s maiden win of the campaign.
Please read the ground information on the Prestwich Heys website before attending Tuesday’s match, and note that dogs are not permitted with the exception of support dogs.
