West head into unchartered territory on Saturday, making a first trip to Stafford Town as the quest for First Division South points continues.
Saturday 21st August, 3pm
Evans Park, Stafford
NWCFL First Division South
 £5 adults / £3 concessions
West moved into the play-off positions after Tuesday night’s 6-0 rout of Barnton, and boss Chris Rowley – who returns to the dugout after missing that game – will expect his team to kick on and build up some real momentum.
Stafford, though, have been the best performers of the league’s recent Midlands intake and go into the weekend on the back of a three-match winning run. Victories against St Martins, Cammell Laird and Rocester have taken them to 8th, and mean the Reds have already equalled the tally of wins they achieved in the curtailed 2020/21 season. Prior to their lateral movement, Stafford won three, drew two and lost nine Midlands Football League Division One games and were 16th of 19 teams when the campaign was cut short.
By road: Use Riverway, ST16 3TL for sat-navs. Car park on site.
By public transport: Stafford train station – 0.9 miles from the ground. Trains direct from Manchester Piccadilly.
