Ahead of this weekend’s fixture against Litherland, West are pleased to announce the arrival of Mark Derbyshire from Evo-Stik West club Trafford on a short term loan. The agreement, which will see Derbyshire – better known as ‘Darbo’ – join West for 28 days, which will see him eligible for all league games up until the away trip to Northwich Victoria on Tuesday 11 November.
Derbyshire signed for Trafford from local football in 2014. He made his debut in that January away at Worksop Town and by the end of last season he had made eighty-five appearances and scored 25 goals. During the course of this campaign, Mark has scored 5 times – most crucially, a 93rd minute winner at home to Mossley.
Subject to FA clearance, he will be available for selection for this Saturday’s fixture.
