During our tie in the first round of the Macron Cup earlier this month, our hosts Oswestry Town have been found to have accidentally fielded an ineligible player over the course of the game – which ultimately resulted in a. Due to competition rules, this means that West will take their place in the second round of the competition, and will now travel Eccleshall FC on Saturday 10 November.
All at the club would once again like to thank Oswestry Town for their hospitality during our tie, and wish the club well for the rest of the season.
Our previously arranged league game away at Charnock Richard has now been postponed, and will be rescheduled in due course.

A number of clubs have been removed from both the Macron Challenge Cup and the First Division Challenge Cup for playing ineligible players in the previous round.
As result, their opponents have been reinstated. Details are as follows.
Macron Challenge Cup Second Round – Saturday 10th November 2018
Ashton Town, FC Oswestry Town, Padiham and Shelley have been removed from the Competition due to playing ineligible players.
Therefore, Stone Dominoes and West Didsbury & Chorlton have been reinstated and Abbey Hulton United receive a bye.
