Taken from our programme for the visit of Silsden AFC. Available on the gate, priced £2.
Following our last game against Burscough the lads have been busy in training and of course the run out last Saturday when we gave the lads needing minutes an opportunity to show where they are up to as we entertained a competitive Manchester League team Rochdale SH.
It was also a chance to have a proper look at some new lads who have been training with us recently and there has been plenty of food for thought for today’s game.
During the last few weeks I was disappointed that Ash Leather decided to drop a league, as we had high hopes for him, but this disappointment is more for him personally as I know we would have made him a better player and progressed him up the leagues not down!
Having said that I feel we have several options available that might actually provide us with a different dimension and see it as an opportunity for others to prove their worth to the Club and grab the shirt!
We have lots more work to do to build on our good start with our 4 wins in 6 league games but we must stay focused and continue to rack up the points in our next series of games today, Wednesday at Northwich Vics and then Next Saturday at 1874 Northwich.
Performance levels and intensity need to be at maximum to secure results in these games, in the way we did against Runcorn, Whitchurch, Hanley and Abbey Hey.
Keep smiling and enjoy the game and don’t forget to let the lads hear you with the verbal pats on the back when you see good things being done on the pitch!!
Enjoy the game!
