With the FA Cup and FA Vase draw about the be made at 1pm today (Friday 7 July), we thought it would be a good opportunity to have a look back at what West have achieved in each competition over the years in preparation for the news.
West first entered the FA Cup in 2013, reaching the Preliminary Round – an achievement that we have as yet been unable to surpass, despite reaching the same stage in two of the next three seasons. To set a new record, the club would need to progress in two rounds to reach the First Qualifying Round.

The club have fared somewhat better in the FA Vase, with the 2015-16 campaign being the most successful – and the most memorable, featuring a club record 15-1 victory at home to Dinnington, followed by a titanic struggle against eventual winners Morpeth Town. Last years loss after extra time against Penistone Church was our earliest exit since promotion to the North West Counties League, and will hopefully be improved upon this time out.
