West Didsbury & Chorlton can confirm that they have reluctantly accepted the resignation of Reserve Team Manager Danny Iredale.
Iredale, after more than a decade with the club, leaves having guided West’s second XI to a 10th place finish in Cheshire League One having originally taken over the Reserve side in 2016/17. He was accompanied by Jim Hines, who’d overseen promotion from Cheshire League One to League Two in 2016 following a merger of Reserve and ‘A’ teams, who confirmed he’d be staying onto support any new management team.
Together they oversaw the reserves highest finish in club history as they finished 6th in 2016/17.
Chairman Glyn Meacher said: “The club wish to place on record its gratitude to Danny, as well as Jim, as they oversaw a difficult transition period for the reserves following the merger of two teams and the folding of our youth team.”
Details with regards to the application process for the role of Reserve Team Manager will be announced in due course.
