Club statement – West Didsbury & Chorlton AFC

Club statement

Following today’s result, manager Steve Settle has offered his resignation which the chairman has reluctantly accepted.

Over the course of almost four seasons, Steve has produced the best results in the club’s history – including record points total in consecutive seasons, and the highest position that the club has achieved in it’s 110 year history. It is with a heavy heart with which the committee accepted his resignation. As a club, we’d all like to thank Steve for his work over the past few years – as a player, as an assistant to Andy Nelson, and as a manager. The reason the club has such high expectations is due in a large part to Steve’s management, and he will always be an enormous part of West Didsbury & Chorlton.

In the interim, Matty Kay will take over as manager – with news on a full time appointment to follow. We’d once again like to thank you for your support, and look forward to welcoming you down to Brookburn Road for the rest of the season. Any news or developments will be announced in due course.
