As previously announced, for tomorrow’s visit of Litherland Remyca we will be accepting donations for our new partners, Barakah Food Aid. An organisation that we have worked with in the past, they now use Brookburn Road to help aid their mission – and we want to celebrate by helping boost their inventory ahead of the testing winter months and festive season.
If you are able to, we’re asking for supporters to bring along a donation for the food bank – whether this is one tin of soup, or several bags full, every contribution will go a long way towards helping those who are experiencing food poverty and will be hugely appreciated. Below, we have a list of suggested donations: these include both food and non-food items: a lot of this comes down to what the individual donating might need if circumstances were different. It is also worth bearing in mind that many of their packages may be delivered to families with children: any treats, selection boxes, or similar would also be greatly received.
Donations can be made at the ‘Beer Shed’, which will be open up until half time. We’re proud as our position as a community club, and look forward to the warmth and generosity of our fanbase being shown once again tomorrow. Come on, West!
