Avro 3-0 West – West Didsbury & Chorlton AFC

Avro 3-0 West

Saturday 5th November 2022, NWCFL Premier Division

Avro 3 (Sutcliffe 13, Afuye 63, Wallwork 81)
West 0
Att: 262

West slumped to a second successive 3-0 defeat, this time at the hands of Avro.

As against Bury AFC 11 days earlier, the opposition goalkeeper was given merely a watching brief as the home side eased to victory.

Ethan Sutcliffe tapped home a low cross inside the first quarter of an hour to establish Avro’s lead, before Michael Afuye and Kane Wallwork struck with long shots after the break – both of which were deflected on their way past Andrew Jones.

West also lost Ben Hampson to a first-half injury, on what was a thoroughly forgettable first visit to the Vestacare Stadium.

West: A. Jones, Cook, Westall, Taylor, Hampson, Foulds, Eme, C. Jones, Elliott, McKnight, Miller. Subs from: Delaney, Dickinson, Gavin, Hancock, Swift.
