RECREATION GROUND | BROOKBURN ROAD | CHORLTON | M21 8FE

Following the huge success of our 7-a-side edition earlier in the season, the club is proud to announce our second supporter tournament. Now slimmed down to a 5-a-side, the competition will take place on Easter Monday, 22nd April – before our crucial game against Abbey Hey in the afternoon. We are welcoming entries from both complete teams, and from individuals who fancy a kick-about. Regardless of gender, skill level, or time since you were last able to take to the pitch, we’d love to welcome you for a kick-about on Hardy Farm.
The format of the competition will depend on the number of entrants, but our last edition featured a round-robin with a final played amongst the top placed sides. However, alterations have been made in order to both speed up the tournament and in order to make games more attacking. Our last edition featured only one pitch, and the dimensions meant that goals were a rarity. We’ll now have smaller two pitches, meaning concurrent games, and more goalmouth action.
Entry costs £10 per person, or £60 per complete side, which will also include entry to the Abbey Hey game and a drink once the tournament is over. For those entering a full team, there are a maximum of 7 per squad. If you are entering as individuals but would like to play alongside a friend, please let us know in the notes and we’ll do our best to make it happen. Kick off times are yet to be fully finalised, but 10.30am is currently pencilled in, with the tournament finishing by 2pm at the very latest.
If you would like to be involved – and try to reclaim the trophy from current holders Windsor Wanderers – fill out the form below. Entrants must be over 14 years of age to compete.
