Ahead of today’s fixture at Stalybridge Celtic, all at the club would like to thank those planning on making the journey for their excellent support so far this season – it has been fundamental in our progress on the field, as much as it has been in growing the community off it. There have already been several memorable trips this season, and we hope that Bower Fold provide another banner day for all those who follow West – win, lose, or draw.

The manner in which we deal with any and all results is as important as anything else, and with one of the most important matches in recent memory only a few short hours away, it is imperative that supporter be respectful to our hosts through the 90 minutes and beyond. To that end, it is vital that the rules of the competition (and of the host ground) be followed – this includes supporters staying off the field of play at all times, and the consumption of alcohol being limited to the Bower Fold clubhouse, not on the terraces during the course of the game (both of which could lead to expulsion from the competition).

West is a community club, and one that we all love – hopefully the train ride back to Chorlton will see us leaving Stalybridge with a place in the next round safely in tow. Even if that isn’t the case, we’re sure that our fans will be a credit to our community, and we wish you a memorable day regardless of result. Come on, West!

Entry to today’s game is £10, £6 for concessions. In the event of a replay, this will be played on or around September 3rd at Brookburn Road.
