At Saturday’s NWCFL AGM, which officially marks the start of the 2017/18 season, the draw for the first rounds of the Macron Cup were made following the meetings conclusion.
The league’s management committee confirmed that the first two rounds would be regionalised with the ties being moved to mid-week with the dates yet to be confirmed.
Having been given a bye in the first round West were drawn away to the winners of Winsford United v Barnton. West will be boosted by the fact that they secured a victories on both those grounds in their most recent visit when they won 3-0 on their first ever trip to Barnton in February before securing a 3-1 win at the Barton Stadium in the final week of the season.
