Match information: West v Abbey Hulton United

Please read all of the information below before attending Saturday’s game.

West return to The Step Places Stadium to take on Abbey Hulton United in another crucial First Division South fixture.

Chris Rowley’s side opened up a three-point gap at the top of the league with Tuesday’s dramatic late win at Brocton, and still hold a game in hand over the chasing pack.

Abbey Hulton have lost their last three games as they attempt to winch themselves away from relegation danger. The Staffordshire side go into the weekend in 16th place, five points clear of Eccleshall in the drop zone.

West were 3-1 winners in October’s reverse fixture – Sam Heathcote’s early double put the visitors in control, before Ben Elliott snuffed out an Abbey comeback in the second period.

Important information

We will have a series of measures in place for this game to help keep people safe and relieve pressures on our volunteers.

The ground capacity will be capped at 600 paying supporters (adults, concessions and accompanying under-12s) in addition to season ticket and complimentary ticket-holders. Please arrive early to avoid disappointment. Season and complimentary ticket-holders are guaranteed entry, but please bring your ticket with you.

We will not be selling tickets in advance of the game – admission is on a first come, first served basis.

We encourage all supporters to take a lateral flow test before arriving at the ground. If you test positive, have COVID-19 symptoms or are supposed to be isolating, please do not attend.

If you are paying at the gate or buying refreshments, programmes or merchandise, use contactless payment or the correct change where possible.

The clubhouse and bar will be open, but there will be no seating available inside. An additional outside bar will be available. Please wear a face covering while indoors and while buying items, unless exempt.

In addition, club staff will be:

  • enhancing cleaning, including sanitising mid-match;
  • reminding suppporters to keep a safe distance from others; and
  • managing entry into the clubhouse.

As always, thank you for your support.
