Here are your Players of the Month for February 2025!

Congratulations to our Women’s Reserves who made it through to the final of the GMWFL Premier Division Cup with a 3-1 win over Rochdale Women.

Our Men’s First Team picked up three wins in February. The month couldn’t have started in a more exciting fashion with Jimmy Moore scoring an injury-time piledriver from 35 yards to complete a 4-3 comeback against Colne, from 3-0 down at half-time. We also picked up impressive away wins on the road; 5-2 at Charnock Richard and 2-0 at Glossop North End.

All our teams came together to mourn the passing of Goalkeeper Coach Steve Piggott with minutes applauses and silences being held across all matches.

Our Women’s First Team put in a brilliant display at Brookburn Road to beat Tranmere Rovers Women 5-1 and picked up a valuable point on the road away at Mancunian Unity, which has ensured our place in the NWWRL Premier Division again next season.

The Juniors team are gearing up towards the end of the season and preparing for various spring cups and title challenges. It’s been great to see so many juniors at recent men’s and women’s matches.

Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you to all of our coaches for your nominations and your continued hard work and dedication to the club.
