Preview
It's West v South on Tuesday night as South Liverpool are the next visitors to Brookburn Road, the first of four home games in a row.
West will be buoyed by a sensational 5-1 victory at early promotion contenders Longridge Town and will be keen to strengthen their league position before attention turns to the visit of Darlington in the FA Cup at the weekend.
It's a different story altogether for our opponents South Liverpool. After a promising start - not tasting defeat until the sixth game and earning a creditable draw against higher division opponents Witton Albion in the FA Cup - the South have found life tough following their first ever promotion to Step 5 last season.
Saturday's 2-0 home defeat to Squires Gate left them 20th in the table. They are also bottom of the form table - taking one point from six games - with the goal scored to earn that point against Padiham the only goal registered in this period. In fact, the South have only three league goals to their name so far this season, with two of those coming from the penalty spot and none from open play in over 600 minutes of football.
This bodes well for West, who have conceded fewer league goals than any other side in the division. West playing fewer games is a factor, but only three teams can boast a better average than West's 1.14 goals conceded per game. South Liverpool aren't far behind this themselves and have only allowed a couple more than the teams at the very top end of the table.
If Jordan Lazenbury and Victor Abadaki can stay fit and firing at the other end of the pitch, West fans can be hopeful that these games in hand will be put to good use and climb up the table. That said, Abadaki will be missing on Tuesday night as he serves a suspension following a late red card in last Tuesday’s loss to Irlam.

Directions
We encourage supporters to use public transport, cycle or walk if possible.
By car:
There is no parking available at the ground for supporters, except for pre-booked disability access.
Please instead use Hardy Farm, M21 8DP.
Disability spaces must be accessed no later than one hour before kickoff and all vehicles will be unable to exit until 15 minutes after the final whistle to ensure the safety of all supporters leaving the stadium.
There is additional public car parking on Chorlton Ees opposite The Bowling Green pub, who are also allowing supporters to use the pub car park, but there is little other on-street parking.
Please also note that there is no parking available on Brookburn Road itself, nor the surrounding Chorltonville area, as they are privately maintained, exclusively for the use of residents.
By public transport:
The Step Places Stadium is one mile from Chorlton Metrolink station, on the East Didsbury and Manchester Airport lines. Follow Google Maps directions to find your way to the ground.
If you are travelling from outside the Greater Manchester area, the Metrolink network can be accessed from any of Manchester’s central train stations. Visit the Transport for Greater Manchester website for tram times and more information.
By cycle:
The Step Places Stadium is a perfect location for those who cycle, being located next to the River Mersey, Sale Ees and only a few minutes away from the Fallowfield Cycle Loop. We have secure bicycle racks inside the ground to lock up your bike throughout the game. Please ask a volunteer if you need assistance.
