West find themselves at another crossroads as they travel to face fellow strugglers Winsford United.
David Powell's side dropped back into the bottom two after last weekend's home defeat to Charnock Richard, meaning revenge will be some way down the list of priorities against a team whose win at Brookburn Road in November signalled the end of the Steve Settle era.
The Blues looked to be pulling themselves away from danger as they followed up that win with successive victories against Abbey Hey and Padiham, but their revival spluttered out at an inopportune moment. They have only taken four points from the next 28 on offer, though they did strike late to rescue a draw at home to Squires Gate last weekend.
Another close match is in prospect with the sides having a completely even head-to-head record coming into this fixture. Meanwhile, relegation rivals Padiham host a Bootle side looking to chase down City of Liverpool, while Hanley Town don't play after leapfrogging West last Saturday.
