West v Squires Gate
Brookburn Road, Chorlton, M21 8FE
£5 adults, £3 concessions, free for under-12s
Tinfoil shortages are set to sweep south Manchester as West prepare to begin their FA Cup campaign at home to Squires Gate.
A trip to Northern Premier League Division One West side Droylsden is on offer along with an increased prize pot of £2,250, and West will also be looking to go one better than last season after exiting at this stage twelve months ago.
Gate, of course, are no strangers to West and have been members of the NWCFL Premier Division since 2008. They accounted for West in the 2016 edition of the FA Cup and have underlined their credentials early on this season with an impressive start to the league campaign. Only a stoppage-time equaliser prevented them taking all three points from Silsden on the opening day, and they hammered Burscough 6-1 at home on Tuesday after racking up five goals in the first half.

West did the double over Gate in the league last season. Ben Steer, Matty Kay and Tom Bailey all scored in a comfortable win on October's Non-League Dog Day, before a late Bailey double secured all three points on the Fylde coast in March.
