West v Charnock Richard
Brookburn Road, M21 8FE

West open a pivotal February at Brookburn Road for a first-ever meeting with Charnock Richard.
Three of the current bottom four lie in wait this month, but first West must negotiate a challenge of a completely different kind against Charnock, who are flying in their first season in the ninth tier. The Chorley side, who were playing in the West Lancashire League as recently as 2016, are on course to secure a third consecutive promotion - Tuesday's 2-0 win at Runcorn Town was their sixth win in seven games and lifted them above Widnes into second spot.
Steve Settle's side, though, will be eager to prove that last Saturday's heavy defeat at Hanley Town was a blip, rather than normal service being resumed. West have won their last two matches at Brookburn Road, with those six points against Winsford United and AFC Darwen creating a modicum of breathing space between them and the relegation scrap.
Charnock's dangerman, as ever, will be Carl Grimshaw, whose eye-watering statistics speak for themselves - 367 goals since signing from Eagley in 2009, 32 goals this season, and only one failure to score in his last 17 appearances.
