West face Alsager Town for the second time this month - this time with precious league points on offer.

Brad Cooke's side swept the Bullets out of the Macron Cup on 9th November, easing to a 6-1 win, and Alsager will return to Brookburn Road seeking a first win in any competition since beating Cammell Laird on 24th September.

West have slipped out of the First Division South promotion places in recent weeks but have played the fewest games of anyone in the top nine and have four games in hand on Eccleshall, the side immediately above West in the table.

The Bullets' early departure from the multitude of cup competitions means this will be their first game since losing to New Mills ten days prior, while the weekend saw West record an away win and PlayerMatch.com Cup progression with victory at St Helens Town.

Last time we met

Saturday 9th November 2019, West 6-1 Alsager Town: West easily moved into the Macron Cup third round thanks to goals from Matt Eckersley (2), Ben Steer, Lee Grimshaw (2) and Josh Tinker. Ben Boyne had equalised for the Bullets after Eckerlsey's opener, but the afternoon ended miserably for the visitors who also had Martin Enow dismissed for two bookings.
