The Cup trail resumes this weekend with a trip to St Helens Town.

West's reward for their 4-0 second round win over Nelson is a first tussle with St Helens since the 2014/15 campaign - West winning both Premier Division meetings 3-0 that season. This will also be a first trip to St Helens itself for West, as Town ended a seven-year exile in 2017 when they moved into the Ruskin Drive sports complex.

The home side are currently three games unbeaten and have won their last two matches, but still find themselves at the wrong end of the First Division North table. They currently sit 16th after as many games but had an enjoyable afternoon in the previous round of this competition when they hammered league rivals Darwen 8-3.

Last time we met

Saturday 24th January 2015, West 3-0 St Helens Town: West saw off the visitors thanks to goals from Adam Hilton, Nic Evangelinos and Jordan Poole in front of a Brookburn Road crowd of 82.
