MATCH PREVIEW | Hanley Town v West

Saturday 27th January 2018 (3pm), NWCFL Premier Division
Hanley Town v West
Potteries Park, Stoke-on-Trent, ST2 8AJ
£5 adults, £3 concessions, free for accompanied under-16s

West will look to maintain their recent resurgence as they travel to Staffordshire to face Hanley Town.

Tuesday's 4-1 win over AFC Darwen was West's second win in a row and a third in six games, with Tom Bailey's quickfire hat-trick making him the Premier Division's leading scorer outright. Victory at Potteries Park could propel West into the top half of the table, depending on other results.

Hanley, meanwhile, risk seeing their promotion charge fizzle out after claiming just one point from the last available 21 - although that point did come a fortnight ago at home to Widnes, denying the Halton side an 11th successive win. Last week's visit to City of Liverpool fell victim to a waterlogged pitch.

Despite the home side's recent troubles, a trip to Potteries Park still represents a stern test for Steve Settle's team. Only Runcorn Linnets and Widnes have better home records than Hanley this season, and Hanley boast the best home defensive record - just nine goals conceded in 12 games.
