West pick up their league campaign once more with a trip down the Metrolink Airport line to play our South Manchester neighbours Wythenshawe Town.
The reverse fixture ended up a 1-1 draw with Town equalising late on to secure a point - one that looks even more valuable now, as they sit 4 points behind West having played a game less. The second highest scorers in the division with 35 goals in 11 games, Wythenshawe also have one of the most parsimonious defences, having only conceded 11: it is clear that West will need to be at their best at both ends of the field if they are to take anything from the game.
Currently sitting in 6th, West could find themselves back within the promotion places come 5pm on Saturday - though this would require either Abbey Hey (3rd) or Stone Old Alleynians (4th) to lose their games. Town, down in 8th, will be similarly looking up at those automatic places and hoping to get points on the board to make them one of the more prominent voices in the title race conversation.
New signing George Blackwell goes straight into contention for Brad Cooke, while former West men Nia Bayunu and Ash Leather remain registered for the home side.
