Six points from six over the bank holiday weekend has put West in a strong position as September gets underway. Only New Mills sit ahead of Chris Rowley's side, with two points separating West and the table-topping Millers.
Brocton have made an inconsistent start to life in the NWCFL following their lateral transfer from the Midlands League in the summer. Tuesday night's 1-1 draw at home to neighbours Rocester moved them up one place to 12th, and their season so far has been one of extremes - an 8-0 hammering at Abbey Hey in mid-August was followed up by two straight wins, including an excellent 3-0 victory against early frontrunners Ellesmere Rangers.
