Longread: Pete Jones on Tre Baldwin Willis

Shortly before the birth of his two beautiful twin boys (congratulations from all at the club), West fan Peter Jones found time to write down his feelings on the greatest goal he's even seen in the flesh, scored by one of the club's cult heroes: Tre Baldwin Willis. Published by No Place Like Home magazine, it is available to read online now.

The greatest goal I have ever seen scored live took place on 23 March 2016 in a match between West Didsbury & Chorlton (known as ‘West’) Reserves and Cheadle Town Reserves. It was witnessed by approximately 38 people. 35 of these were the matchday squads and officials. It would have been 39 had my friend Paul not nipped to the clubhouse for another fresh and delicious Krombacher as the sun beat down on the home of football, Brookburn Road in South Manchester.
