Derby Day Win for Under-17s
West Didsbury & Chorlton Under-17s romped to the top of the Timperley & District League with an emphatic 7-2 win over local neighbours St John’s at St Bede’s College. A Joel Demby-Harris hat-trick, a brace from Theo Peters as well as goals from Mo Forjani amd Rueban Basi helped West on their way to three points.
The Under-15s secured their first three points of the season to lift themselves off the bottom of Division 4 thanks to a superb 6-2 win away at Unicorn Athletic Phantoms. Goals from Nicquille Clifton (3), Daniel Eaton (2) and Dominic Greenwood kick started the 15s season.
Goals galore for U13s
The U13 Magpies picked up their first win of the season with a 4-3 win away to Jacksons Boat against Brookland Dragons Roma. Jack ‘The Hitman’ Haworth netted himself a hat-trick with Charlie Atkiss getting the fourth.
It was an afternoon to forget for the Badgers as despite an Isaak Haynes brace taking his tally for the season to 4 they were undone 10-2 at home to Sale Community.
Tough learning experiences for younger age groups
The Under-12's lost away 8-2 to Sale Community Devils. Sam Maher had initially brought West level but despite Iwan Thomas also scoring were undone by the home side.
Despite goals from George Roskell (2) and Ted Christon the Under-11s were beaten 7-3 away to Urmston Meadowside Santos.
The Under-9s eagles were beaten 13-0 by Unicorn Athletic.
