RECREATION GROUND | BROOKBURN ROAD | CHORLTON | M21 8FE
by Neil Hawkins · 17/03/2021
West fans could win up to £1,000 a week and raise vital funds for the club following a link-up with Lancashire Line – the weekly lottery ran by Lancashire County Cricket Club.
With just a £1 per week payment to the lottery, supporters will automatically be entered into a weekly prize draw to win up to £1,000, plus many other prizes.
As well as this, 50% of all weekly payments made to the lottery will be donated to West, allowing the club to move forward with its vital ground and facility improvement works, including the clubhouse, pitches and changing rooms.
Since moving to Brookburn Road in 1996, the club has played an important role in the community by providing facilities, coaching and playing opportunities for the first team and development teams for men’s, women’s and junior football.
Beyond football, the club facilities are available for various events and are used to host preschool clubs, school clubs and cookery classes, not to mention events that support important community initiatives such as food bank collections.
The Lancashire Cricket Lottery Department was formed in 1994, with its main objective being to support Lancashire Cricket and the development of cricket at all levels throughout the county. Since its inception it has raised over £2 million.
