RECREATION GROUND | BROOKBURN ROAD | CHORLTON | M21 8FE
We’re pleased to announce that Jake Kenny has rejoined West. The 27 year old full-back signed for us last season from Stalybridge Celtic before leaving to join Wythenshawe FC where he went on to win the league. Jake also had a brief spell for West in 2019 so this will be his third spell for the club - we just can’t keep him away!
Jake is a former NPL Division One West title winner with Atherton Collieries and was named as one of Atherton’s player’s of the decade in 2019, having played in 157 games for The Colls between 2014-2019. He is another player with unfinished business at Brookburn Road, telling us, “It was an easy decision coming back to West, having enjoyed playing here before. It feels a little like unfinished business so I’m really excited to get going. The management have already put together a great group with top players so it will no doubt be another exciting season.”
Paul Marshall told us, “Jake has a great pedigree, especially for this level having been a part of the Whythenshaw side that won the league last season. Jake is another one who is a leader on the pitch and a good example of how we want the lads to perform this season.”
Welcome back Jake!
